in 1802, Sundial Lodge is the most prestigious residential
care home in Torbay. Set in over an acre of its own well
kept lawns and gardens and with its seaviews, Sundial
Lodge is the perfect place for elderly people who want
care within their own self contained apartment.Sundial
Lodge is equipped with everything to make your stay however
long or short a truely comfortable and enjoyable one,
and where courtesy, comfort, security and service are
of paramount importance.
All flats are equipped with a 24hour "on call"
system. Residents have keys to their own flats and to
the main entrance door. All are free to come and go as
they please: there are no restrictions.
Each flat is self-contained and centrally heated, with
equipped kitchenette and a private bathroom. Residents
are at liberty to use their own furniture if they so wish.
We consider it important for our residents to keep their
independence and quality of life where possible.
Relax
in the day room overlooking the gardens where residents
can meet informally to take tea and coffee which is served
daily at 10am and 3pm.
For those who wish to be entertained there are games such
as Scrabble, Chess etc which can be played. Occasionally,
quiz games are organised and visiting musicians, small
choirs and other entertainers are sometimes invited to
come along.
On summer days, one can enjoy the delights of the open-air,
such as garden tea parties, a game of croquet and bowls,
Or simply relax on the garden seats in the sunshine.
